My name is Francesco De Giorgio. A computer engineering degree from the University of Pisa, then ten years of software built for the real world: road tolling, digital payments, fashion e‑commerce. Today I work on my own: the person who answers you writes the code.
About me
I live and work in Pisa: I studied here, graduated in computer engineering here, and this is still my base. My roots, though, are further south, in Calabria, on the Costa Viola, near Palmi. Not a nice detail at the bottom of the page: it is why I work across two regions instead of one.
In the Piana di Gioia Tauro and along the Costa Viola I have built some of the things I am proudest of, with an advantage you cannot buy: I know what it takes to fill a beach club in July and keep it going in October. The first umbrella booking app I published belongs to a club in Palmi, the Sunset Beach Club.
Outside those two areas I work remotely, and I travel when being there changes something. What I build is always the same family: websites, e‑commerce, mobile apps and booking platforms that have to hold up every day of the year, not just on presentation day.
Path
Almost ten years inside systems that could not afford to be wrong. Every line ended up where somebody was paying, travelling or buying: that is where you learn to weigh consequences.
Front‑end work on the Italian electronic tolling systems. There an edge case is not an elegant bug: it is a barrier that will not lift.
Digital payments first, then the integrated traffic system: two worlds, the same obsession with the number on the screen.

Positioning
An agency puts other people between you and whoever actually writes the code: a salesperson who promises, a project manager who relays, a developer who has never heard your voice. That does not happen here: I listen, I design and I build. One big advantage, one precise limit, and I would rather you knew both before writing to me.
You talk to the person who writes the code, always. Nobody promises what somebody else will have to build, and no decision gets lost in a handover. Ask for a change and whoever answers already knows what it weighs: he wrote that part. In two years you still find the same person.
I am not a firm with twenty people. I take projects one after the other, not in parallel: if one is open, yours starts when that closes, and you get the date upfront. Need a team of six starting on Monday? I am not the right person, and I say so at once.
The quickest check is to look at what is still running. Prenoo is a sports booking SaaS I built from scratch, from the data model to the payments. Ci vediamo in Calabria is a travel portal for eighteen towns in nine languages. And for five years I worked on the LuisaViaRoma e‑commerce inside a large team: that scale teaches things you never learn alone.

You discuss the project with me and nobody else. No layer in the middle translating, no requests bouncing between departments: change your mind about a screen and I already know the cost in code.

Before I write a line, I put in writing what I am building, how long it takes and what it costs. Ask for something unplanned and I tell you what it weighs at once: invoice surprises ruin long relationships.

I register the domain, build, publish, measure and stay on for maintenance. The apps reach the App Store and Google Play through me, developer account and review included. Code, domain and accounts stay in your name.

Away from the screen
I have a weakness for objects with circuits inside: computers, synthesizers and, shamelessly, microwave ovens. When I close the editor I make music: it is made of listening, repetition and things taken away, exactly like software.
