Let's talk

Websites and apps for restaurants, bars and venues.

A website where customers read the menu, order for pickup or delivery and pay by card or in cash. On the other side, a screen in the kitchen that chimes when an order comes in, and a panel where you change the daily menu yourself. Built around your place, with no delivery platform keeping a cut of every order. One engineer, not an agency: I work between Pisa and Calabria, and remotely anywhere.

The problem

The orders are there, but someone else takes them

A cut of every order

Delivery platforms bring in new customers, and sometimes that is worth it. But they keep a slice of every order, including the one from someone who already knew you and would have called anyway. And inside their app your place sits in a list, next to the one across the street.

The phone rings in the middle of service

An order taken over the phone ends up on a scrap of paper while the dining room waits. One that came in on WhatsApp has to be copied out for the kitchen, and the address asked for twice. With three orders it holds; on a Friday night with every table full, something gets lost.

Who this is actually for

Restaurants and pizzerias doing takeaway, bars that serve lunch, places with one menu at midday and a different one in the evening, kitchens that deliver nearby. The menu changes, the mechanism does not: an order to take, a time to keep and a payment to close.

What it includes

What the customer sees

The customer's path, from the menu to the payment. Every piece follows the rules of your place, your hours and your dishes, not those of a platform built for everyone.

1

Digital menu and daily menu

The menu lives online and you keep it up to date, without calling anyone. The daily menu is split by service: lunch and evening can have two different menus, each with its own dishes.

2

Online ordering for pickup and delivery

The customer chooses whether to collect or have the order brought over, and at what time. Times sit inside slots you define, and each slot has its own hours for pickup and for delivery: delivery can stop before the kitchen closes, for instance.

3

Card or cash payment

By card or phone wallet, people pay on a secure Stripe page, since that is Stripe's trade: card details never pass through the venue's website. Anyone who prefers pays cash on pickup or on delivery.

4

Customer accounts and reordering

Regulars create an account and find their saved basket where they left it. With "order again" the dishes from last time go back into the basket, so nobody has to rebuild the order from scratch.

Menu→ Order→ Payment→ Kitchen→ Pickup or delivery

Behind the counter

What the people working there need

An ordering system is not judged on launch day but at rush hour. This is the part the customer never sees, and it is the part that keeps service running.

The kitchen screen

A monitor in the kitchen shows the orders to prepare, refreshes on its own and chimes when a new one arrives. Whoever is cooking marks where each order stands, with no paper slips and no asking the till.

Staff roles and permissions

Kitchen, till, floor and owner each log in with their own access and see what their job needs. The kitchen moves orders forward but sees neither takings nor customer contacts: those stay with whoever has to deal with them.

The orders dashboard

Takings, refunds and best‑selling dishes for the period sit on a single screen. When you need them elsewhere, say for your accountant, you export them to a file that opens in a spreadsheet.

Discount codes and promotions

You create discount codes as a percentage, a fixed amount or free delivery, and put the current promotions in plain view on the site, without asking a platform for permission.

Notifications for customers and staff

Customers get the confirmation and updates on their order by email, and if they switch on push notifications they see them on their phone too. Staff get an alert for every new order.

Table bookings

Anyone who wants to sit down books a table from the same site the others order from. One door for the customer, and for you a written booking instead of a phone call in the middle of service.

In five languages

The site works in Italian, English, Spanish, French and German. Someone on holiday orders and pays following steps written in their own language, instead of giving up halfway.

No cut for the platforms

There is no delivery app between you and the person ordering, keeping a share. What remains is Stripe's fee on card payments, visible in your Stripe account; cash carries none. The money lands in the account registered to you.

No middleman · Direct payout

If a shop window is enough, a site with the menu, the opening hours and directions, that is the work of websites and e‑commerce. If all you need is table bookings, with calendar and availability, the right page is booking platforms. And if you want an icon on your regulars' phones, add an iOS and Android app.

Frequently asked

What venue owners want to know first

Do customers have to download an app to order?

No. They order from the website, in the browser on their phone or computer: open the link, choose, pay, done. If you also want an icon on your regulars' phones, the same system can become an app, but nobody needs one to place an order.

Can customers pay on delivery?

Yes. They can pay online by card or phone wallet when they order, or in cash when they collect or when the order reaches their door. You decide which methods to offer, even just one of the two.

Do I pay a commission on every order?

Not to a delivery platform, because there is nobody standing between you and the person ordering. What remains is the payment processor's fee, Stripe's, charged only on card payments and visible in your own Stripe account; cash carries none. The money lands in the account registered to you, it does not pass through me.

Does it work for pickup only?

Yes. Pickup and delivery are two separate channels, and you can start with pickup alone. Each time slot has its own hours for pickup and, once you add it, for delivery: the simplest way to begin without organising riders.

Can I change the menu myself every day?

Yes, that is what the daily menu is for. You set it up yourself from the admin panel, and lunch and evening can have different dishes. Changing a dish does not mean calling me or waiting for a site update.

What does a website with online ordering cost?

There is no price list, because it depends on which pieces you need: a site with the menu is one job, ordering, payments and the kitchen screen are another, and you can start with one part only. After the first call you get a written proposal, with costs and timing, before any work starts.
